IS IT SAFE TO LIVE IN LOS CABOS?

In these times, most of us are concerned about one basic instinct- Is it safe where I live?

Intuition plays a big part in our decision of where will live, or invest in a property for the vacation or for the future.

What gives me a feeling of security and safety in South Baja is the great attitude of gratitude that the vast majority of people here have for this beautiful geographic location, it’s peace and its great weather.

We have a reliable food supply supported by a four-lane highway to a major sea port, and four international airports.

We have a powerful association of Hotel owners interested in physical security and supportive of the State and Federal Government security forces.

We have a strong real estate association called MLS BCS that keeps our economic engine of construction and services busy and fully employed, and helping to generate tax monies in both 2% Acquisition Tax on all sales, and property taxes actually paid by a healthy contingency of responsible homeowners.

There is a large foreign community, internationally constituted of full and part-time residents from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Europe, South America and beyond. This gives a strength of social fabric and financial commitment necessary for a diverse and functioning society.

Sports like golf and sportfishing are the best in Mexico. And the arts thrive in music, painting and photography. Feeling safe is easy in Baja California Sur. We live life fully here.
